Dr. Newell has been attending to the care of athletic feet for over 3 and ½ decades. He pioneered the use of orthotics during the running boom of the 70s and has continued to benefit thousands of active individuals with his care throughout the years. His facility with athletic complaints made him a natural choice for the footcare needs of Seattle’s professional sports teams. Dr. Newell is proud to have been a part of the Sonics, Sounders, Seahawks and Mariners medical staff in the past thirty years. His expertise was also utilized by the University of Washington athletics department for 31 years as team podiatrist.
Growing up in Indiana, a love of basketball was unavoidable. Dr. Newell quickly found one of the passions of his life which he still carries with him. His second passion came from sunny southern California, where he met his wife Lois. The two of them have enjoyed life together, their children and their 4 grandsons.
