David Jensen focuses his practice on the areas of commercial litigation, construction litigation, personal injury, products liability, subrogation claims for insurers, and general commercial litigation and insurance on behalf of policy holders and insurers. He has defended construction companies of all business types in defense of construction defect claims and workplace safety issues and accidents. Mr. Jensen has successfully resolved numerous claims and lawsuits via all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, trial, and contract arbitration. He has tried numerous jury and bench trials to verdict in the state and federal courts of Washington.
Before joining Merrick Hofstedt & Lindsey, P.S. he was a partner at the law firm of Gordon Thomas Honeywell for nine years. Mr. Jensen received his B.A. degree (cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) from Washington State University in 1988, and his J.D. degree (cum laude) from the University of Puget Sound Law School (now Seattle University) in 1991. Mr. Jensen attended the United States Air Force Academy before attending Washington State University. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, the King County Bar Association and the Washington State Defense Trial Lawyers Association, and he is licensed to practice law in all courts in the State of Washington. He has been named a Rising Star in Law and Politics Magazine. Mr. Jensen has presented at a number of Continuing Legal Education seminars on issues relating to developer liability, condominium warranty liability, and mold claims.
When not practicing law, Mr. Jensen enjoys spending time with his family, skiing and running.
