The city of Mill Creek is located in Snohomish County, about 20 miles northeast of downtown Seattle. It has a small population, a little above 18,000. At first, Mill Creek was a planned community that was produced around golf courses and country clubs. The city was first incorporated in 1983, when it started to grow rapidly with employment and families. Today, it has a city sponsored Mill Creek Town Center complex that has mixed use. Before the millennium, the city was mostly made up of woods, but have since been replaced with apartment complexes.
