Janet Cowan Curran is a certified Professional Wetland Scientists (Certificate # 1426, Society of Wetland Scientists). She is also a certified Wetland Delineator (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineator Course, May 2000). Janet received a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources Management in 1995 and a Master of Science in Environmental Science in 1998 from the University of Maryland. She has over nine years of environmental resource management experience in the Puget Sound region. Janet has both public and private sector experience. She has worked as an Environmental Consultant specializing in wetlands and wildlife for five years, with previous work experience as a Biologist for Snohomish County’s Planning and Development Services for one year, and as a Fisheries Biologist liaison with NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service for three years. As the NOAA liaison, Janet reviewed biological assessments and prepared Biological Opinions pursuant to the Endangered Species Act for regional transportation and infrastructure projects. At Curran Environmental Services, Janet performs wetland and stream delineations, fish and wildlife assessments, and prepares a wide variety of environmental reports and mitigation plans for local, state, and federal environmental permits.
Sean Curran is a certified Wetland Delineator (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineator Course, May 1997). Sean received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from Western Washington University in 1995. Sean has over twelve years of natural resource management experience in the Puget Sound Region. Sean has worked for six years as an Environmental Consultant specializing in wetland delineation and mitigation planning. Sean also has previous work experience as a Snohomish County Biologist in Planning and Development Services for two years, and as a Senior Environmental Planner for Snohomish County Public Works for four years. At Snohomish County Public Works, Sean obtained local, state, and federal environmental permits for County transportation, drainage infrastructure, road maintenance, and parks projects. At Curran Environmental Services, Sean specializes in wetland and stream delineations, mitigation and restoration planning, and permit assistance for local, state, and federal requirements.
