Day Trip To Leavenworth Via The Cascade Mountains From Seattle

On this memorable day trip through the Cascade Mountains, you will see beautiful mountain landscapes, gold-mining towns, at least 3 waterfalls, and travel along white-water rivers. This is a mountain loop tour, starting first over Stevens Pass where you will see Bridal Veil Falls and where Big Foot has been spotted! You'll also see Deception Falls, then follow the Little Wenatchee River through Tumwater Canyon to Leavenworth.

You will have a couple of hours in Leavenworth for lunch, then continue over Blewett Pass, an old gold mining town, and Snoqualmie Pass, where we will stop at Snoqualmie Falls. Leavenworth is a featured tour itself, a Bavarian Alpine Village with character of its own.

From your hotel or B&B, you'll head North and then East on your private tour, past animal and agricultural farms and through old mining towns on your way up the Cascade Mountain foothills. Cross Stevens Pass and learn the history of the natives and the settlers as the railroad was brought west. You'll see the Skykomish River and 2 very different waterfalls, Bridal Veil and Deception on the way, and maybe see a Sasquatch at the Big Foot Coffee shop before you cross the pass at the Stevens Pass ski resort. Next, Tumwater canyon is beautiful as you continue along the Wenatchee river with many whitewater sections. You'll lunch in Leavenworth, a Bavarian wonderland of its own, with time to explore the riverwalk and the town. Then you'll continue over Blewett and Snoqualmie Passes, where you'll have your last stop at breathtaking Snoqualmie Falls, 268 feet tall. This is a beautiful tour.
